This is my Platinum team so far, after I beat the Team Galactic goons in Veilstone City. I'm planning on getting Hippopotas and Magnemite.

Just defeated Lance, I'm liking this team a lot, some are even breed some this run

Breed this guy before facing Whitney, leech seed is awesome I recommend anyone with the free time to attempt this if able
>Barox, Qwilfish
Had a chance to use one since the fisherman called me immediately after I healed my Pokémon, caught with old rod so it has spikes, Qwilfish is such an underrated gem in Johto
>Sanders, Granbull
Instead of using Ursaring I went for Granbull the main difference is that Granbull trades eq for shadowball, another underrated Pokemon with access to elemental punches and early Charm
>Numeno, Heracross
Found it while searching for an Exeggcutte since I was going to switch Bayleef for an Exeggutor this run, this guy made me change my mind so I instead breed a leech seed Meganium while leveling this guy and Sanders
>Pounder, Donphan
Crystal allows early Phanpy so I got one as my second Pokémon, I wish Phanpy had dig in gen2 but early lv 25 base 100 atk Def and hp make this guy near unstoppable, I love this guy
>Boneless, Skarmory
I had a free slot and no flying Pokémon, changed my Umbreon for this Guy, I even went ahead and breed one with Whirlwind, he took on Lance almost on his own after some unlucky crits and Paralysis got me to 3 Pokémon, I haven't used a skarm since my first run of Silver so I'm glad I used him

I'm loving this team a lot and now it is time to visit Kantoooo

Im in the post game, pretty cool, there are some new routes and some good trainers. Im trying to get stronger so i can beat Cynthia and the Pokémon league. Happy Fire its the star of this team.

I hate how Kanto games have such a lack of Pokemon variety
If Game Freak ever were to make another Pokemon game taking place in Kanto, they better crank the shit up out of the Pokemon variety. I'm talking more Pokemon from all different generations of Pokemon + maybe some new regional forms

Current team for Ultra Moon, just beat the Water trial. Nobody here is a permanent member aside from Rowlet. I was going to use Poliwag but now I'm considering using a Huntail instead. Also any suggestions for what could replace Herdier and Furfrou? I was thinking Munchlax, but I just used a Snorlax in X.

Pokemon Sun. I was going to change up this team earlier but they mostly grew on me so I'm probably sticking with them till the end. I did swap in Bewear though (used to be Crabrawler)

I did use Ledian, Pidgeotto, Exeggcutte, Furret and eevee into Umbreon for a while before breeding leech seed and whirlwind so due to a technicality I guess I didn't use a full Johto team

Just beat winona heading to mount pyre. I'm somewhat overlevelled might sub out some mons. Eventually will probably replace latias with mega glalie. Dusclops just evolved, cant decide whether or not I evolve it to noir. I like noirs design alot more and it can deal better damage but eviolite clops is tempting. Thoughts?

fuck bros I just got to pastoria and realised I have no electric or grass types for the gym. I skipped both shinx and budew because i use them every time i play gen4. who else can I catch?

I assume you're looking for a Normal type? You'll be able to get Oranguru soon, or Bewear a little later. For a non-Alolan pokemon Miltank is at the farm and also Tauros IIRC

if this is plat then you can use jolteon, but it is useless without TMs. Tangrowth is a good grass alternative, or leafeon if you don't use jolteon, but leafeon has a poor level up learnset.

I think Let's Go could have stood to have 251 Pokemon. Maybe a little more, accounting for the Gen 3-4 prevos and evos.

The only games I can imagine that actually being a thing would be Johto since you can be underlevelled with a full team. But even then, as long as you know how the game works using a full team wouldn't make it any worse.

Technically it's easier to just overlevel your starter and breeze through the game, though that's not really fun for me. I prefer using a team of six, it's just more engaging to train them into strong fighters. But is it detrimental? No, the solo starter playthrough is just faster.

Caught my druddigon so now I just need to grind it up to level 40 or so. Sheer force with a neutral nature, which is good enough for me.
Shouldn't take long to grind with the exp share now, but I'll do some EV bashing in twist mountain. I'm gonna evolve for electross after defeating Brycen and then move on.

Flareon is very underrated. Jolteon depends on the game, it's insane in generation 1, less so after but still good. I wouldn't say Espeon's up as the best either, for a Psychic type it takes tons of investment compared to something like Alakazam. In HGSS it also gets Psychic really late, while in later games Psychic stops being the amazing typing it was in the first two regions.
