They're cute. Lots of unique and fun designs, and the idea of Ultra Beasts as a whole is interesting (while not entirely fleshed out). They should return, but I'll guarantee they won't because gamefreak.

they're neat, but I think it's a shame how many Ultra Beasts look overtly like animals or known concepts.

Only Nihilego, Celesteela, Guzzlord, Poipole and Naganadel, Stakkata, Necrozma (fuck you, it counts) and arguably blacephon and Xuritree look sufficently otherworldly.

also Eternatus should have been an ultra beast

Loved the Ultra Beasts honestly dont know what people are on about their designs aren't really much more complicated than most box legendaries and honestly the UBs have more personality than most box legendaries.

Maybe we'e get more UBs later, we did see more Regis and Ultra beasts are relatively easy to shoehorn into any game.

glad to see vp's tastes aren't bad enough to hate UB's, I also thought the concept and their designs are cool and (this is probably a headcanon) it adds more to the theory within Pokémon that Pokémon might come from space with UBs being just as otherworldly

They should have been transformed humans and not catchable. The amount of headcanon and theories I had when they were first announced was far better than the real thing.

I thought it was a HxH Chimera Ants deal, fighting something far beyond our limits, I mean they were advertised as NOT being Pokémon and Lusamine totally looked like a human version of the white one.
About that, they definitely thought of it at some point.
Even in the canon games, it looks like you're going to battle transformed Lusamine but they chickened out.
