1. People who see that it's often called the best, or the last good game, and feel annoyed by that for one reason or another. They may genuinely disagree. They may just be disagreeing for the sake of it.
2. In some cases, it becomes patently obvious that the person in question hasn't played the game. Like when they get information wrong, but this is not always the case. I think you can spot this type of poster pretty easily though; it's just a 4channer doing 4chan things, really.
I used to love BW1 as a kid but after playing BW2 as an adult, it's easy to see that it's not that good and aside from an uglier male MC, they fixed a lot of issues. Please don't backquote me and post art of Nate, I don't care if you like him.
BW1 in general gets a lot of props for its story line, but it's not actually that much better than Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. Cheren and Bianca are lovable, but they're babby's first characters. N is just decent. Cyrus is underrated by comparison and is actually my pick for the best antagonist. That whole storyline is a lot more poignant than Black and White 1's.
It's just harder to appreciate DPPt's story since Team Aqua/Magma basically wanted to destroy the world too
I know they say they wanted to save it, but it seems like such a load of bullshit and their legendary trio is uglier than Reshiram/Zekrom.
For as many ugly Pokemon there are in the Unova dex there are also a few hit designs and a lot of good-looking character designs, and I think that the aesthetics carry that Generation a lot.
Anyway tl;dr, nobody is "jealous" of Gen 5, it's a combination of other shit, and yes, not playing the games is part of it. But only part of it.
