Stat reaaaignments for each of its forms while keeping its BST, maybe.

But what I think would make it busted is if Forecast prevented the opponent from changing the weather. I feel that would make it a staple on any weather team.

Give it a special move or ability that 'absorbs' the current weather into it, so only Castform gains the benefit. That would mean "stealing" your opponents weather team strategy or potentially allowing you to play multiple weathers without interfering with each other.

Forecast now works like prankster and gives priority to weather category moves. You can now prio change the weather to resist incoming attacks. Stuff like weather ball, hurricane, powder snow also get priority. On top of that give him like 10-15 base stat buff to all his stats.

Change Forecast to automatically summon weather if you're holding one of the weather-extending rocks.
Then buff its transformed stats to have at least 100 speed and special attack. Speed being more important because automatic weather allows it to spam 120 BP moves of a multitude of types freely.

Honestly I think giving priority to weather moves and their related attacks is enough, the ability to simply change your type before getting attacked is quite helpful.

Castform rebalance threads are interesting because he’s currently so shit that he doesn’t have a foundational strategy to build upon. Something to do with weather and weather forms is obvious, but there’s so many directions you can go with that premise that everyone’s ideas are unique.

I think that’s pretty neat.

With every gen I hope he gets better and every gen it doesn't happen. They've given him more moves like hurricane but he needs more than just a moveset boost. He needs a crazy ability buff to make him like imposter ditto to where the pokemon can finally be played as intended.

Not necessarily, if I wanted a hail setter I'd prob take him over say abomasnow or vaniluxe and it wouldn't be weak to rocks. Castform has a solid movepool it'd be a good offensive option for a weather setter.
