How is this possible? I have the worst luck ever in most cases in Pokemon but I still get fortunate with shinies

Same here. Then I came across and caught a shiny Zigzagoon entirely by accident right at the start of a Ruby run. Until then I didn't entirely believe people ever got them outside of cheating. Still don't really see the point in getting a legit one. Like, who cares? I didn't even continue with that save file.

Full odds shiny hunting. I started shiny hunting late into that games so i almost always had increased odds but now that ive been hunting for mons in older games i do have to say it feels so much more rewarding when you get it.
Also unrelated but i have a question for anons in the thread. How to you feel about using cheats to be able to do older events? I recently got a deoxys from firered and a mew from the japanese emerald event but i had to use cheats to get both events sicne theyre obviously not available anymore. I also had to use emulators since i dont own the older games. I like to count them since i still soft reset for them and got them legitemately that way.

How do you play? That's pretty brutal if you actually try to complete the Dex every game.
If you're just catching a team and some HM slaves and otherwise slapping Repels on everywhere, it's not surprising.

Soft resetting. Done it by accident a few times soft resting for nature on legendaries, and the rush is fin, especially since sr can be boring as all fuck, and in watch anime in the background usually.

The cartridges are stupid cheap compared to English ones. The language used in these games is basic as shit and if you've played enough Pokemon, all you have do is check the type and PP and you know what move it is 99% of the time, otherwise just check Bulbapedia.
