Granted, it just took the same thing that XY did but added more stuff, especially expanding on stuff Gen 3 did (like record mixing), and also added a lot more of the good stuff to Street Pass so when the online inevitably shuts down you aren't completely fucked, just hugely inconvenienced. Basically, I feel about ORAS in relation to XYmore or less the same way I do about HGSS in comparison to the Sinnoh games, except I hate Sinnoh on the latter case while Kalos just bored me, and ORAS fucked up good things about RS way more than HGSS did and also didn't do enough new good things for me to consider it a decent trade off.
