But Sobble fans get some heat every now and then because they were the smug ones this time. And as it happened last gen the smug fans got the worst starter.

Gen 5 has a overbearing regional dex, a large area locked to post games, quantity over quality in designs and started the trend of having a dialogue every 1-2 routes. It's not hard to accept the flaws if you like the game I really don't understand why gen 5 fans act like B/W and B2W2 had no flaws. Both games just compensated the flaws with content, B2W2 was both a improved version and a sequel and that's why it has less flaws than B/W while having a extra metric ton of content that really did a good nostalgia trip in PWT.
New fans don't get it because they didn't play old games, they just watched them in a let's play or something like that. They will defend newer gens because it was their first experience with pokemon. And first impressions matter. Gen 8 looks trash to everyone who has played this franchise for long enough, it looks like a HD 3DS game instead of a Switch game and that's sad.
