These two are just examples. I've noticed this exact sort of shit with other moves in the anime too.

Ash's Gengar used Psychic in one episode against Raichu and it looked awesome, but the animation was extremely reminiscent of Extrasensory in the games yet the Extrasensory in the anime is just a beam of energy? TPCi is retarded.
