Hi everyone!
If we haven’t met yet, nice to meet you, I’m Meghan. I work in PR and my favourite game is Crystal
I’m actually new here, so I thought it might be nice to have a thread where we introduce ourselves to each other and say hi.

I'm kind of a 50/50 - I love competitive Pokemon, but I also love using my favorites ingame.
I've been into Pokemon ever since I got Pokemon Diamond for my 15th birthday. It's pretty much my favorite thing ever.
Recently I discovered I was gay, and let me tell you, it has been a trip!

The idea isn’t cringe. But losing anonymity in a place where the whole purpose is anonymity is why it does not belong. Anyway yes, I just replayed through Colo and loved it. I trade pokemon between FireRed, Emerald, and Colo and have just begun transferring them through the DS games to HOME for ribbon masters. I’m still on Hoenn’s bullshit lvl 50 tower ribbon.

Pretty sure I'm one of the maybe 3 or 4 people in my current country with my first name, purely by virtue of it being a foreign name, so revealing them both would narrow down a lot.
People put their real names on social media all the time but I've been taught since I was a kid that I should disassociate online identities with my real one, for the sake of avoiding issues down the road. So it strikes me as odd how eager people are to use their real names for everything online these days, especially with how much is backed up and dug up for the purposes of "cancelling" or stalking/bullying, or against you in any other case.

In general, a first name on a website that does not link your name to you in any way will NEVER have negative repercussions unless you unironically are the only person with that name in existence.
