I wish I never knew about EVs. Just received N's Zorua and now I'm checking the EVs of all enemies like an autist and grinding Ratatas with power items, instead of actually playing. That'll probably happen for all new mons I catch.

There is not a single pre-Champion trainer in any official Pokémon game that you will need EVs for, with the exception of challenge runs.

It’s not even a massive thing in half the games in the franchise since you have methods of removing EVs

I'm doing it precisely because I don't wanna bother with IVs. I read somewhere that his Zorua is nearly perfect so I'll take good care of it.
Sometimes I do notice mons I catch have vastly superior stats at the same level.. but that's just an extra

Yeah maybe I'll stop after my sweepers are done. Ideally I want to play PWT though I assume that's too hard with random stats, but maybe I can just wear the power items and play a normal playthrough. 4 EVs per fight is still a lot.

In SS you can use mints, hypertraining and Pokejobs to fix all of that easily.

I transferred my shiny Dragonite lv 100 from HGSS who had dogshit IVs and Evs and now he is battle-ready.
