Having them in the game is genius (as long as they're not implemented like in SwoShi's full on shilling) you get all the KANTOOOOOO nostalgia for a nice blurb of "Mantaining tradition" in media articles, and the people that dislike them can just box the motherfuckers
Regarding a dexcut, I think the least damaging thing they can do (besides just putting them all in the game, fucking hell, they already have most of the work done) is limiting the remakes to up to the generational dex (so, every mon from gen 1 up to gen 4)
