I'm not retarded enough to hear the words "Faithful Remake" and think they're drastically going ot change the game from the original offering.
The fact Game Freak are away making their own game set in Sinnoh seems to indicateit really WILL just be a straight port of Dp to Switch, adding minor shit like the lady to give you Shaymin's Gracidea and other slight changes but outside that shit, it's unlikely to be drastically different to the story DP told back in the day.

Given the precedent set by ORAS, they'll probably only change the game in worse ways without actually fixing many if any problems with the original that may have already been fixed by the third version. At least when FRLG and HGSS changed things for no good reason, they also gave you something new and interesting as an apology.

Has been completely and utterly fucked out the window bai. they're not remaking the game in Gen VIII's engine, like they did ORAS in XY's, so why the fuck do you think what they did in the past applies? Every other remake was not introduced with "faithful remakes" tag, nor indeed did they reveal a SECOND game set in the same region as the remake, but in a different era. And lastly, there is only ONE Game Freak staffer working on BDSP, the bloke who directed the riginal project, to keep an eye and ensure it stays faithful. Game Freak are away doing something wholly new and different, releasing it 3 months after BDSP. If that doesn't tell you this is JUST a port of BDSP and they expect you to migrate to Legends when it releases to explore more of Sinnoh, nothing fucking can.

Do you have a single fact to back this up? It looks like it might be running on Gen 8's engine, given Let's Go also runs on it.

Then why release it in Fuck You It's January, where they release things they have no faith in to fucking die? Like, if they wanted to make a big deal out of Legends, April would have been reasonable, and Summer would be ideal, unless they want Legends out of the way so they can announce a new game for Holiday 2022 (that's probably running on the Legends engine because they only reason they're making it is to get funding for a new engine like they did with Let's Go).
