SM were much better tuna XY, and USUM were pretty basic 3rd versions. SwSh were decent, the DLC was good.

This. XY was hands down the worst game aside from ORASs and BW2 and it's only been better from there.

Cannot recommend USUM enough. It's the third version sequel hybrid for SM that has pretty much objectively the most content in the series. If you're willing to pick up the DLC SwSh is also up there aside the holy Trinity with just how much it changed to keep the formula interesting. All in all you'll enjoy Pokemon a lot better if you pretend Gen 5 and 6 just don't exist. They're a rancid stain on an otherwise enjoyable series.

Sales indicate that USUM and SwSh are the best in the series, and for once they are actually accurate. Pick them up if you get the itch or otherwise just drop the series for having shit taste.

Pokemon has honestly never been better. Gen 7 ushered in Pokemania and Gen 8 expanded it. Having lived through the dark ages that was Gen 5 and 6 I never thought I'd see the day.

In all honesty it was only fun for being a return to form after SM. The game is okay and has a lot of polish and interesting takes similar to what Legends seems to be going for but at the same time it's mainly just because it's an actual Pokemon game instead of the visual novels that SM/USUM/SWSH were.

This. You do not want to play Gen 6 in any capacity it's quite literally the worst in the series.
Even if you tolerated the downfall that was Gen 5 it's not worth it. Stick with Gens 1-5 and USUM or Swoosh.

Boring region. It's literally just a circle. Least amount of new pokemon ever introduced. Constant dialogue and hand holding. Probably the least memorable of all the regions. Only good part was the meta was probably the best ever.

I take it back, I've seen this spam before. It's a falseflag to make XY look better by calling it and BW2 bad. Always the exact same wording, and always the exact same games.
They somehow convinced themselves that saying a good games (BW2) and bad game (XY) were both bad would make others think both games were good, which is impressivley complex thinking for a Kalos fan.
