Sales lower down to worse than Little Town Hero as The Pokemon Company, Nintendo and Creatures all gang up on GameFreak and phase video games out of the Pokemon equation.
Pokemon as a franchise thrives better than ever because everything is now centered on GO, which doesn't need that permission since it's not a "new" game.

I wonder... How would they introduce new Pokemon to the series? I don't expect it to be anime-only so I guess more Meltan/Melmetal type events and the only Pokemon past that point are more mythicals and legendaries. Then eventually re-runs forever?

gamefreak and ishihara only listens to money, so if they see the sales plummeted because the based anons here refuse to give permission to other people who want to buy godawful games, you can expect some changes happen.
The general consensus in this board are:
- following pokemon
- Post-game battle facility like the frontier and PWT
- National Pokedex and all Pokemon.

I understand what would be imposed, but I don't see why this was thought of. Why would /vp/ (or equivilents) regulars of only 2019 be permission granters of a game? Everyone would just get emunand or emulators running at that point if they are faggots denied permission forever.

Most of /vp/ unironically knows when a Pokemon game is good or not (HGSS for example)
So if they played the new games first and hated it, they have.... a somewhat credible assessment that the new game is bad and won't grant permission for others,
First to spare them from experiencing a bad game
Second to curb sales to gamefreak learns not to make said bad games.
