Sun & Moon felt like a really sweet and soulful adventure. Sword & Shield feels like a step backwards to XY, another bland gym challenge with bad villains.

The base game is pretty ass. Wild area was a cool idea that could have been executed a little better, and the story was severely lacking. I actually really loved the DLC, particularly Crown Tundra, and I think that’s the direction Pokemon is heading. If so, gen 9 might be genuine kino.

Everything else about the DLC in my opinion was great except for the fetch/discovery/wandering quests for Diglett + footprints to get certain Pokemon. Those really sucked. If a Wild Area could have those + randomly generated trainers that would actually be a hassle/challenge, we are in business.

It would be different if you had to do certain things to get to the Digletts and they weren't just plopped into the map to find. I think it's more of a personal preference thing, but after doing the same thing with Alola and Totem Pokemon gifts and even to an extent XY with the mega stones, I was kind of done with it. It's a tool to make it so that players spend more time wandering the map in practice.

It's a perfectly average pokemon game, with a decent DLC. It will probably be liked more later similar to how XY gets praise now that people who started with it grew up, and if gen 9 follows in what the DLC set up it may even be seen as the start of a new age in Pokemon.

SwSh is a disappointing game that was made the way it was on purpose.
There are some truly great parts of SwSh, but equally shitty and baffling decisions made.
I'm pretty much struggling to do my shitmon playthrough of it cause every time I start it up, i jsut feel like doing something else.

Plenty of handicaped people have high iq. Most people who go do university dont have a high iq too and they can manage to do smart things.
