So Shiny Gyarados is a Magikarp that evolved artificially? Or Shiny Magikarp was more susceptible to radio waves? There's also Pikachu-Colored Pichu.

Why did they drop lore on shiny Pokemon? I NEED SOME DEEP LORE

This, the lore for Pokémon has never been good or interesting and costantly changes to fit each game. How can people care so much about it? It's not Dark Souls, and even then when the lore is flushed out and consistent you still look retarded for obsessing over it.

I think the plot about shiny gyarados just being a magikarp that evolved weirdly through radio waves was just an anime plot. As I remember the shiny gyarados in the johto lake was just there to show the player that shinys exist.
