>>47557136I always thought it would be fun to do a spinoff reboot kind of like Origins but with the two player characters, Ash/Red/Whatever and Leaf/Green. They'd be the yin to each other's yang with Ash starting out cocky and overbearing but determined and Leaf being timid and shy but clever. As they adventure around Kanto together they'd grow off each other and lose their flaws to become respectable trainers and come into their own as characters. Ash would be humbled by his quest to become champion and Leaf would become more confident as she puts her smarts to use. In the end Ash would be become champion through determination and Leaf would do some epic brainy feat like fill out the Pokedex and discover the dark and steel types.
Not sure if I want to ship them, leaning towards yes because of how they'd push and lean on each other during their journey together to achieve their goals.
