The whole problem is that Fighting is an inherently physical-based type, as it revolves around martial arts. The most "special" thing you can add to that is ki blasts, which they did via Aura Sphere and Focus Blast.

Focus Blast has shit accuracy, Aura Sphere has shit distribution like Power Gem, and Vacuum Wave may as well not exist.

70% accuracy is more than enough for a move as powerful as Focus Blast

Aura Sphere's distribution was improved this gen, but the real issue is that it's too weak to warrant using over Focus Blast most of the time
