I've been dual wielding Switches in Dynamax Adventures to double my odds of finding shinies.
For a week or so I had no luck. Hundreds of encounters and not a single shiny. Out of frustration I reset Pokemon Sword (i.e quit to the Switch menu and rebooted the game rather than just leaving the game running in standby mode). Since then I have encountered 3 shinies in just 57 encounters while the Switch running Pokemon Shield is yet to have a single shiny.
My question is; do your shiny odds get set at the game's launch or is this just a coincidence?
