Only other type I can think of is digital/computer. Not really electric per say, but more like a whole type based around Porygon’s backstory. Pokemon created from living computer code.

The problem is that I feel like it's kind of unnecessary because it has a lot of overlap with Psychic (77% of the mons listed are already Psychic type) so there's not much need for it

Flying because Space is higher than the atmosphere
Rock because Space contains the Earth itself
Water because water turns into steam in a vaccum
Elec because electricity is impossible in a vaccum I would make it immune but that would be too broken

Is Weak to:
Ice because the heat death will the end of the universe
Fire because too much energy will also cause the universe to collapse into a false vacuum

let's be honest, sound isn't really Normal in the way wood is Grass. Sound is an expression of many typings including Ground, Steel, Fairy, Water, and Psychic. All types have sound moves.

No you don’t. It’s be as dumb and as boring as making everything in space or from ultra space psychic type. There’s a reason they stopped making all aquatic Pokémon water types. Because environments get extremely stale if they are all one note.

Plastic/Rubber is the only type that actually describes existing Pokemon that aren't otherwise adequately described. Digital/Cyber/Tech is just Electric or Steel. Light is Psychic/Fairy, Sound is sort of Ground -- at least, it should be imo. The real shame is Normal's being indirectly boring or miscellaneous, instead of being knowingly banal. For instance, Bidoof is a really strong Normal type, because it is explicitly plain; likewise, Pidove is demonstrably boring, and you get the idea that it derives a certain elemental power from its being simple. Whismur is just Normal because they didn't want to make it Ground, which was already associated with tremors and seems like a better fit to me.

Rock (meteor showers/asteroids), Bug (classic Bugger alien motif), Ghost (they’re outside of the physical plane/aren’t made of matter)

SE on:
Water, Ground (essentially what planets are made of), Flying (control over gravity)

Resisted by:
Rock, Bug, Ghost, Steel (spaceships)

Lol what? For the most part sound waves travel through air, and bounce off of objects and surfaces, only going through if the wave is strong enough or the material permits it. The whismur line is just very loud, they don't have control over the earth
