The only times graphics seem to come up on this board are “gen 2 best,” “gen 8 worst,” and “x gen I’m shitting on has bad graphics.” But which games do you think pulled off graphics best?

Personally I actually really like the gen 1 visuals, from the brutally simplistic overworld to the strangely detailed and unique battle sprites. I’m also a sucker for PBR’s great battle sequences, if gen 8 literally just managed that Wii game’s graphics it’d be the best looking of the bunch.
