I think that’s it. Legends already has potential, so there’s really not much to add, just improve what’s already there.

Slightly off topic but I never realized how much I fucking LOVE the cover art for it, the much softer lines and colors on top of a clean and pleasant overall style is so SOOO much better than the style it seemed like they were heading towards

Dropping the open world and ATB shit and focusing on the capture mechanics as an actual system. Even then I'd still probably only pirate it, but it would be a definite pirate instead of my complete disinterest.

Pokemon is such a cursed franchise I'm pretty sure something like Sonic Mania will never happen. If there's not a single fan autistic enough to understand Pokemon intuitively at a fundamental level through years of hacking and fangame making, what hope does the rest of the industry have? At this point letting Game Freak do their own thing where occasionally they have a flash of brilliance between the constant massive fuckups is better than forcing somebody else into this awful schedule and hoping you get something good out of it. If you want my chaos answer though, have Game Freak and Sonic Team switch places. Knowing Ken Sugimori (his Twitter handle is a Genesis add-on that nobody else aside from me owns) I'd love to see Game Freak fuck around with some Sega licensees and I'd like definitive proof that Izuka's a fucking hack.

Anon that’s never going to happen, Pokemon is good with casuals and the manchildren base, there’s no hope for a flash of brilliance anymore when they have the perfect formula to sell millions with each game.

I can think of a few examples in the last few years. There's also stuff that they add that nobody gives a shit about. Like, the entire mark thing from SS is ribbons but somehow even less relevant. If you're only in it for the money you don't do that, or a different alternate shiny animation you fuck up the code for. That screams beleaguered incompetence rather than laziness.

I really enjoyed it and still battle to master ranked from time to time. The skill level is a lot higher than showdown and it looks much better too.

lack of singles 6vs 6 ladder is only issue but 3 vs 3 ladder requires a bit more skill anyway especially if you add dynamax into the mix.
I understand if people who are not that great at battling prefer something else.

Showdown is pretty much easy mode with people in the top 500 even using troll meme teams

The issue is that i think you people forget this is a nintendo/gamefreak game.

They are limited by not only the switch but a budget in which the goal is to make the most profit for the least amount of costs possible. There are so many pokemon and so much to implement that I feel like this is never gonna happen until they get a truly blank check.

But why do that when youll likely sell as much doing it the cheaper way?
