I just barely noticed Beheeyem. I knew it was always there, but I'm now NOTICING it. It's pretty cool. Slick design, and pretty impressive Special Attack. It's actually one of my favorites now.
What are some pokemon that have had that same effect on you /vp/?

I love Beheeyem.

I had that same experience with several Pokemon thanks to GO. The one that stood out the most was Muk, particularly Alolan. Of all the Pokemon I've come to appreciate on every aspect, it still surprises me to this day. It's practically my ace.

Pic related. I always went with Pidgeot cause my friends did too. I don't like Fearow at all and Dodrio's design was too outlandish to me back then but after my latest FireRed playthrough it's my favorite kantobird now. Silk Scarf STAB return off an attack stat of 110 AND drill peck demolished everything in its path. The design grew on me as well

All based mons. I've come around hard on Cradily lately, myself. Used to always love Armaldo as a kid (and I still do) but now that I'm older I have an appreciation for weirdo mons like Cradily.

You can catch Elgyem in ORAS immediately left of Lilycove City. Something about the context of seeing it there, at night, floating slightly above the grass really sold the eerie alien look and instantly made me love it.

The only misstep with Beheeyem is the brown coloring, and the shiny's just another shade of brown too. At least one of them should've been grey or black.

It happened to me plenty of times, particularly
Sigilyph, Scrafty, Golurk, Rhyperior, Drifblim, Arctozolt and Genesect were all mons I considered outright shit designs when I first saw them but now I like, with Drifblim and Genesect being among my absolute favorites.

I love when that happens.
