Why weren't we allowed to dress up the pokemon outside of the crappy musical?
Online battles would've been so much more fun if they allowed you to do that.
They could even have npc trainers decorate their mons too.

And why didn't they keep following pokemon?
Couldn't they have just used the sprites from HG/SS meaning all they would need was new ones for the unova mons?

HGSS and BW were being developed at the same time. They didn't finish the Johto remakes and start on Black and White.

No, the scale of the sprites are different. Just like the player sprites don't look like HGSS player sprites, the Pokemon sprites wouldn't either.

nta but all the different combinations of clothes would have to be loaded up for the mon in question depending on what it was wearing, causing the game to lag as it loaded each mon's outfit. It's not a good idea.

I dunno, I doubt it though. It seems like a shitty idea that would make battles take too long either way though, so I think you should just let it go. Someone suggested making wearable items visible too and it was debunked for similar reasons, on top of being stupid because it makes frisk worthless.
