People on showdown copy paste builds then tantrum rage quit if their ace dies. The top 500 for ou is full of meme names from people who obviously did not give a single shit about what they were doing and did basic counters to the meta that would get rekt in masters ranked on cart.

The idea that showdown fags can say ANYTHING about cart comp is fucking pathetic. Even the casual six vs six option on cart is better.

PFFFFTTTTT dude it is literally FREE to go to showdown right now have a random match and see that its easy as fuck . The average showdown match is two copy pasted smogon teams pulling the same exact shit against each other while who ever loses has a mental breakdown.

in practice that wouldn't help. If you correctly predict your opponent and it fails, then you get punished. Turning it into a coin flip turn 2 just makes it a prediction shitfest for both players.

BSS is only difficult if you don't know how to team build. Alot of people suck at it because they throw 6 dynamax sweepers on a team and consistently lose if they can't unga bunga their way to victory.

Masters and even great ball has alot of unique teams and its really fun to play with something you made yourself and can get challenging especially with some monotype teams.

I've climbed to masters almost like every month since release so i have a pretty good understanding of the meta going on and what works on a team and what does not. The aspect of only using half your team adds a little bit of extra spice since you are not entirely sure what 3 you will be fighting.

Also its super funny doing shit like putting shedninja on your team and basically forcing the opponent into a team setup at preview.

I think im a reasonable person and from what im saying you could understand why i prefer cart and had a bit of an easy time on showdown.

I'm having fun in the best way I can with the meta

I will admit, I don't entirely like BSS in Gen 8 despite loving it in prior gens since Dynamax can be kind of obnoxious at points, but in prior games I had to run at least a couple of high-end meta legendaries just to get by and usually only could use a few Pokemon I genuinely liked whereas here my entire team are of my bros, I consistently do well (usually only losing due to misfortune), and the rush of crushing an opponent on Cart is magnified tenfold in comparison to winning on Showdown since the battles both take longer and are more animated (plus I'm using my actual Pokemon rather than sims).

Also after a good victory I tend to stop for the night, open up Camp, play with my Bros, talk to the ones who worked hard that day, then make them all some food (with their favorite flavors, ala the nature system) to reward their hard work. It's fun and relaxing, I have to admit.

If you could do more in Camp like actually pet the Pokemon or if the food had more variety than just "curry but x" I think I'd love the feature a lot more. But as it stands, it's nice, though buggy at times.

I also really wish you could pet your pokemon and they had more minigames for camp it would be really cool.

I really like seeing unique teams on the ladder instead of fighting against the same copy pasted teams over and over. I actually fought against a couple of mono teams while I was getting to master ball tier earlier this month for BSS. One dude had a fighting type team with custap berry+sturdy sawk and an assault vest Terrakion to counter zapdos which was pretty cool.
