>You didnt catch Arceus. You caught one of its 1000 arms. Arceus is a reference to Avalokiteśvara and doesnt represent your western creation mythos just because he has a church-like building.

We actually don't really know what that building is for, yes? I mean, presumably it's some sort of religious building, but there's nothing associating it with Arceus is there? Granted, Gen 4 did skimp out on a lot of assets like that, so I guess it's not that it's not for Arceus, but rather that it's not particularly for anybody. Which given there's almost nobody in it is probably just generally true. Basically Xenogears has a way better and more thematic church, complete with an asset that gets a call back at the end of the game.

Would it have been controversial in 2007 if localized Diamond and Pearl games explicitly mentioned that the Hearthome building was a shrine for worshiping Arceus?
