Rock has SO many of my all time favorites and there isn't a single one that benefits from it

It's because plant roots can destroy and shatter whatever rock happens to be in their path rather easily, in this case that's exaggerated to a cartoonish degree. Also they attach to the rock and suck all the nutrients out

Thematically I agree, but I think Gamefreak learned their lesson early on. I always think of the Ground/Rock or Rock/aground dual types, but the reality is that all of them are limited to Gen 1 (and by extension, Gen 4) and Gen 2.

Rock-types seem to incorporate minerals into their physiology more often than not, whereas Ground types are mostly Earth-elementals, I think. It's why Rhydon is primarily Ground-type, but I think Golem is primarily Rock-type.

one of my favorites but sadly pretty weak, i wish they just removed its ground weakness, that type is already SE against 4 other types

no use being used for defensive mons if so many common types fuck it up, no immunities, 5 weaknesses is almost as shit as ice

plus it's got no good moves, you can choose between shit power, shit accuracy and gimmicky rng shit while ground straight up gets a 100BP+100acc move
