i didnt because i was poor and my parents wouldnt spend the money to watch it. but i did watch pokemon 3 in theatres at a friends birthday party and they paid for everything. it was the only time i got nachos at a movie theater

Yes and it was glorious. I love how they did it with mewtwo and mew. Everyone knew mew, but no one ever had it. And we all knew it was stronger than mewtwo, but could never see it then suddenly they literally make a movie about that. And it even featured cloning something everyone was doing in gen 1. sad that they didn‘t actually give away mew like in japan

Yes. I was in elementary school at the time and was going with my brother. The memories are blurry but some iconic scenes are still in my head despite having it only watched this one time. The cinemas were full and even people from other cities came to watch it here. It was a magical time. Nothing that came after could top this.

Yes. Saw it at the dollar theater, but they still had the movie-exclusive cards for all of us. Can't even remember which card I got though.

Yeah, I saw the first two movies in theatres, and got an Ancient Mew card that I loved so much I carried it around everywhere with me and it got all crumpled and bent, then got damp and the foil layer peeled off so it had to be thrown out. Good times.

Yes, with my dad who did not enjoy it at all resulting in neither of my parents wanting to take me to see the next two movies in the cinema and by the time I was old enough to see movies in the cinema on my own the UK (or at least my local cinemas) stopped showing Pokémon movies. They did come back for I Choose You though.

Also while I didn't get any of the cards (something that annoyed me a lot as a child) when one of my brother's friends lost interest in Pokémon he gave me a shoe box full of Pokémon cards including the cinema cards.

That would actually be pretty clever, do you have the article anywhere? I'd believe it, they didn't make too many name mistakes in the show if I'm remembering correctly.

I have vague memories of seeing it, probably on VHS since I would've been a toddler and not really into Pokémon yet. I think the scene where Ash dove into the machine and all the little arms were snatching at him made me feel squeamish.

I dragged my parents for all of these during the Pokemon boom. I saw all three and have vivid memories of losing my shit when the leitmotif of the song Power of One lining up with the subtitle for Pokemon 2000 hit me.
