Considering how prominent its been since the beginning of the franchise, its oddly sad how Lapras is ignored and forgotten.

Considering it: appeared several times in the anime, is pretty much the defection Surf representative, survived Dexit, and got a special snowflake form it actually has it better than several starters.

by forgotten and ignored I'm talking about the fan base. Obv. Lapras has been featured heavily in the games and media. But it seems to me like no one ever talks about or remotely gives a shit about Lapras.

Oh yeah in that case you’re right. It’s pretty odd how little attention it gets from fans. Especially since Game Freak actually care about it.

If I had to guess it simply just got lost in the duffle. Most fans focus on Starters, pseudos, legendaries, or pokemonthat are heavily marketed. Ironically part of the issue may be that Laura’s is so perfect that it doesn’t attract haters so no one needs to defend it.

Though considering the kind of attention fans give Pokémon, I consider being overlooked by them a blessing. good thing, compared to other Pokémon.

This reminds me of a stats buff I listed for Aurorus, taking points from Attack and HP, and putting it into speed, defense, and special attack.

A Lapras-role should've been one of the recurring archetypes. Tropius would've made a great one, give it a better typing/similar BST.
