>>47579022>Unless you think every game ever that isn't a lazy scam 3rd version or a remake is rushed.Yes. Do you think, if they had more time to make the game, they wouldn't have fixed some of the problems and added at least some of the stuff from a third version? Or at least fixed some of the weird balance or pacing issues that occasionally happen? Some of that stuff isn't really fixable without scrapping something entirely, but if you look at the development of other video games that have reasonable development cycles you can see these kinds of changes being made. Pokemon rarely has a reasonable development cycle. Gen 1 and 2 took way too fucking long, and Gen 6 onward are way too fucking short. Gen 3, 4, and probably 5 probably have their own problems, but it's not quite as severe, but it's also not normal. Fuck, Xenoblade 2 is arguably pretty rushed and has some issues that could have been fixed if they had their entire team rather than a smaller one, even if it turned out alright, and some of the issues were patched. Pokemon games feel more like Super Mario Sunshine or The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker than games that were actually intended to be the way they are recently, although I will admit Pokemon polishes these unfinished titles better than some major AAA developers do with their unfinished garbage.
