>>47597008Id say your wrong. the reason why though is that what collectors desire most is a good graded card, 9 or 10. Im inclined to believe after shopping for WOTC cards for awhile, you mostly have LP or worse conditioned cards. here and there you may find a listing for a raw card worth 500 bucks. but its a toss up at this point. it could look mint from pictures, but when you get it and send it off to PSA, and it gets a 9 instead of 10, you basically break even. this is what i knew long ago getting back into pokemon. i avoided the LP WOTC scam because i knew better that if you buy modern, and wait 4-5 years, it basically becomes as valuable in PSA 10, as a PSA 9 WOTC card. people like you shit upon modern. but since i got all my cards in mint or near mint condition.
Simply put if you know what you know what you have. its already been graded, and its already in a 10. yes WOTC pricing will still rise, even with damaged cards, but from an investors perspective PSA 10 is king in whatever. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 year old cards. just check the price difference between a 10 and a 9. there is "knowing the market. then their is "knowing" the market. unless you spend big to get big with vintage, your wasting your time.
