I'm okay with any other Pokémon existing except for these things. It's not even that I don't understand their inspiration, or think they voilate some headcanon rule on what a Pokémon should be. I just really hate them, even after 11 years.

the worst part about vanillite's evo line is that there aren't other kinds of ice cream. There's only one kind of vanillite, they're all ice, and all of them are literally vanilla

The shiny should've been a different kind of ice cream. Instead it's just a slightly darker shade of blue.
Either that or do something like Minior where's a bunch of different colors of them that represent different kinds of ice cream.

yeah it really messes with your suspension of disbelief. Almost every design tries to tie itself to a real world counterpart or is inspired by a scientific concept or idea, the vanilluxe line is literally just ice type pokemon that for no reason at all looks like a double scoop of vanilla ice cream. Compared to another ice type like Glalie and it really shouldn't be that hard to like. They're both floating ice creatures but while glalie has a more ambiguous inspiration vanilluxe just comes off as lazy and uninspired. Honestly it wouldn't look half as a bad if it didn't have the stupid ice straw.

The Vanillite family really should receive a retroactive Florges/Minior treatment aka make a bunch of different color variations based on ice cream flavors (red strawberry, brown chocolate, green mint chocolate etc.)

The thing that annoys me is that it's literally just a fucking ice cream cone, why does it need to waste three stages on this retarded design. If it was just one stage nobody would care as much, two stages and people would call it dumb but nobody would remember it anyways.
