In XY I can berry farm and it even has more complex mutation mechanics, in BW I can't even berry farm period.
In XY I can play various minigames like Super Training, or the Amie minigames, while in BW there's a shitty dress up thing and that's it. No true replacement for contests.
In XY I can actually play Triples and Rotation Battles in the Battle Maison, in BW I can't even though it's the game that introduced Triples and Rotation Battles in the first place.
In XY I can collect ribbons, in BW I can't.
Where exactly is the "less content" again? The only thing in XY that's -objectively- worse than BW is the writing of the antagonist motivation. That's pretty much it. Everything else is either the same or an upgrade.
