Congrats, Nintendo. Only company that manages to release a new generation console and people pay more for the old one.
Imagine PS4 being worth less than PS3 for example.

I just sold my rare Let's Go branded Switch for 400 bucks.
I'm hoping it will never become super collectible. Here's why I did it:

3DS
>themes with background music
>Internet browser, countless widgets, cameras etc
>even without games the device is interesting
>you can play all the best pokemon games on it

Switch
>no themes, no music, just a grey background
>no browser or any widgets
>without games it's just an empty grey screen
>can't get any old pokemon games for it, and all the new ones are mediocre

I love my cfw 3ds and I’d never trade it for a Switch for any amount. The games just aren’t worth it and cost too much for what is mostly remakes. Also it cost money to play online and for all of the extra controllers and repairs

Just keep it and get a switch when you can afford it or when they finally make a model that doesn't break so easily. Switch is a fun console but it could definitely be more durable.

In part I can't be bothered to deal with thinking about it too hard, and also I just like to keep stuff original and not mess with it yeah. It does mean I end up having to buy multiples of consoles though because I like to play some games in Japanese. Luckily switch is region free.
