I only remember people were speculating about the third edition to dp being opal and some even claimed that the third mascot will be Darkrai or Cresselia. Then a lot of people complained about gen 5 how bad the designs are and how this is the end of Pokemon. Also there was a leak that Bianca will be the champ, can't remember if it was for bw or b2w2.

100 new mons and lots of them are babies and new evos.
At least it's not as bad as Sinnoh which maybe had 25 new Pokemon that weren't previous gen evos or legendaries

Regionmon is a zoomer term. The lore was that 100 new Pokemon were recently discovered (only 150 were known 3 years ago, both in Johto and Kanto)

It's asinine. The fact is that Johto still could have benefited from using a little more of the new things to really differentiate itself from Gen 1, and FRLG would have benefited from at least adding Murkrow and Houndour to the areas around where Team Rocket was to introduce some dark types to Kanto; and Golbat/Chansey shouldn't have been eternally cucked like they were to the point where it's more of a liability to use them.

30 year old, Yellow was my first game, been playing for 20 years, Gen II is one of my favorite gens.

Johto does have too many Kantomons on the trainer & gym teams. Also, Larvitar, Houndour, Murkrow, Slugma & Misdreavus should have been obtainable before the Elite Four.
