Honestly are most of the parents from that time even alive anymore? It's not like it's gonna debut in the anime again and some old fuck nugget asian is gonna up and point "hell no. It's that fucking pokemon again. That's the last straw, I'll make sure this multi-billion company get cancelled." If anything I doubt they'll even get the chance to witness it. They're probably just sitting some rocking chair suffering from dementia or whatever.
