why? because gamefreak decided to make the jump from handheld to the main console, which also functions as a handheld device. BUT what if nintendo's next console ISNT design with handheld capability. Unless they come out with a new DS (which they wont) gamefreak will be stuck with making games for whatever future consoles nintendo comes up with.
