It depends. Sometimes I just think that not getting it legally after investing all the time could be a real loss of time. Sometimes I just realize I have no time enough to invest in lots of shinies and end injecting one. I must say that an injected shiny doesn't feel the same tho.

No, my luck is so powerful that I’ve never needed to grind for more than an hour or two. But I do it for others. If someone I know has been egg-grinding for a long time (like a matter of weeks), I’ll borrow their game cartridge when they’re not looking and use PKSD to modify an egg so it will hatch into a shiny next time they go to grind.
I just tell them it’s my good luck rubbing off on them.

I chained for a shiny Ralts earlier this year and it took about a day to get. Sure it would be faster to inject one in but its more satisfying to go on the hunt and finally get that shiny you have been looking for.

upping odds is enough imo. 1/64 or 1/256 feells much better and enjoyable than fucking 1/4000 or whatever it is nowadays. shinies are fun, just let us actually play with them
