I always avoided using Chomp in Platinum because thought that it would start lagging behind all of my other mons around level 25ish because needs more exp. Not sure how true this is.

In almost every single gen 5 run i use this guy. He's just too good. On my next play-through i vow not to use him though since he really is OP. Swords dance + Earthquake STAB, Sand Rush and Sandstorm wins the game. It trivializes everything.

My gen 3 battle frontier team was an Exploud, an Aggron, and two Crobat. One was offensive and one was support, or however those ideas manifested in my younger, dumber mind. Good times.

Dragons aren't really that good ingame, honestly
Dragons are strong because their stats let them win a lot of neutral matchups, but you're at a big level disadvantage ingame unless you grind
Ground typing kind of saves Chomp, though
