I remember playing some fangame where we stumbled upon a group and they were fusing Pokemon DNA with human DNA or something and this person got fused with a gardevoir, gallade, or kirlia or SOMETHING and I can't remember if it was Insurgence or Rejuvenation or what the fuck it was.
It's been forever since I've played it which one am I thinkin of here.

Reborn has a totally cringe storyline and design problems, but they are supposedly going to make Pokemon accessibility better and stop being such hardasses about trying to make the game arbitrarily difficult for the final update.

Essentials games run like shit on my windows 7 too compared to emulator romhacks which run like butter. The answer is simply that essentials is fucking dogshit and the entire fangame community is so tunnel-visioned into it that they are too stubborn and retarded to find an alternative. One of the reasons romhacks are superior to non-romhacks.

Outside of the story, really nothing. Hard mode is a piece of shit that does shit like illegal EV spreads and hyper optimized smogon teams that get huge buffs from the 'field effects' but easy and normal are balanced well

The story is just a gigantic clusterfuck, say what you want about Reborn but the plot is relatively simple (bad guys want to resurrect Arceus with the chaos emeralds and make new world blah blah). In rejuvenation the main evil team's motives aren't even understandable or known and there's like a dozen different villains as well as evil ancient magic tribes and kingdoms and time police

That's Pokemon Empyrean.
It later goes to time travel bullshit with a dystopian future and an edgy Celebi.
The cherry ontop are the bosses/unplayable Pokemon.
The strongest in the game is a Lv.150, 4250 BST Ghost Type that is fully immune to every status effect, debuff or OHKO move and it has a move that deletes your Pokemon unless is an Ice type.
And you fight 6 of them...
