There was no slavery, the wars that happened had nothing to do with race as far as we've been told, so people are solely shaped by their environment. Websites like 4chan and Reddit wouldn't be anything like they are now either since people wouldn't spend their time arguing with schizos or being uberfaggots when they could be playing with their cool pet monsters that breathe fire. A place like 4chan would still exist, obviously, but boards like /pol/ would have no reason to exists since politics haven't been shown to be important in the slightest and racism has no historical background. You could argue it's too good to be true, but that's the point; it's a utopia-like world that's meant to draw the player in and make them wish Pokémon were real.
