I do like them and I think a game that would focus on double battles would be great. (a bit like the GC games) but competitively the teams you meet are far too similar so it's a bit less fun to play.

Too hard for me. I don't like any of the gimmicks (TR, weather, terrain) and I'm not smart enough to come up with my own tactics. I'll just stick to Singles which I also don't play on cart because I don't like the metamons (fuck you Lando)

Doubles? I'd ask the same about TRIPLES. Literal brainlets, I had someone on /vp/ tell me that it was "too much going on, too much guessing"... and that's exactly how it is in any other respectable RPG, you always fight with multiple (3+) party members at the same time against hordes of enemies.
