Believe it or not, I trust that Gamefreak will eventually make a Dark Souls-like game with Pokemon or something serious like Fire Emblem or finally a realistic Skyrim-like Pokemon..

If not Gamefreak, they'll outsource it to a more competent studio like back in the Stadium and Revolution days.

For almost two decades the Prequels was a dead Ponyta that was constantly beaten and were almost unanimously despised, but Disney made movies that were somehow worse and since the prequels are superior to the sequels, they are now seen as good when they still suck.

You say that but it became even more iconic with the prequels. Despite the movies being of questionable quality, whenever someone thinks of Star Wars they're thinking about all the Jedi fighting Sith jumping all over the place with lightsabers and the John Williams music. Basically that one scene of Bart vs Skinner. The original characters are sort of famous but it's like the Kid Goku part of Dragon Ball. Everybody knows Luke, Leia and Han exist but nobody watched it and the main SW thing are the Sith and Jedi (which weren't really featured in the original trilogy).

At the very least I'd give it that. It created all the iconic Star Wars stuff just like DBZ gave us all the screaming and Super Saiyan transformations despite some arguing it's a worse story than the original.

People may shit on the Star Wars prequels, but it had the best expanded war like the Clone Wars series and games. I don't see the Star Wars sequel trilogy ever having that feeling. The trilogy was a complete mess since the writers clearly changed their mind on where to take the series next, and nothing felt planned at all. They may have good expanded universe stories like Fallen Order, but nothing that will feel closely knit to the movies.
