fuck whoever shilled this romhack to me, a weavile at this level is not reasonable even if it wasn't for the le epic "all non dark/ghost types take damage every turn because they're sad :("

Alright backseat gamer, tell us how you handle it when the enemy has fully evolved mons with illegal movesets at that level while you only get trash that just outspeed and kill your whole team. How would you beat that Weavile with that Stufful with that moveset?

Although I agree with that one anon about /vp/ typically being a bunch of stupid hypocrites there is such a thing as an overdose of difficulty.

In Radical Red, for example, I strongly feel like the mandatory Falkner fight is out of line. In fact, prior to this latest update, I felt like a lot of Gym Leaders went from fairly difficult to being unfairly difficult when I learned what their full team was. I don't know if this is fixed in the update but considering you still have to fight Falkner I assume it's not. I try to restrain my criticism of Radical Red because it's unfair difficulty may be intentional, but things like this are highly annoying.

To clarify; Falkner has an Emolga with Motor Drive and a Rufflet and you're expected to beat him before you can fight Brock. At this point in the game, getting enough money to pay the Nature Changer NPC at the Pokemon Center is out of the question even if you were to fight every Trainer and win. The only thing in your favor is early access to some Ground-types, which will probably still die to Air Slash.

Or fuck, I didn't even notice, you have Baby Doll Eyes. If for some reason you can't reteach it a fighting move, sack something, spam Baby Doll Eyes until it barely hurts and bring something that can one-shot it out. The 1/8th damage thing just sounds like cope, get better mons if thats really an inconvenience

At a gym that has level 26 Pokemon, you've obviously encountered enough Pokemon that can have you beat a Weavile

The only fighting type you can get at that point conveniently doesn't have a fighting move at the level cap for the gym, and you think it's "obvious" that you get something that just conveniently easily defeats Weavile?
And that'd sound like cheesing to me desu, having to change your whole team because you're too bad to win with this one certainly doesn't sound like gitting gud.
