1 hour on 4x speed. The cave they're in has a low encounter rate for anything as well so it's a lot of running

I spent 7 hours looking for a Yanma in HGSS once

No, because I save in the patch of grass and soft reset if I don't get the 1% chance (quicker than waiting for the opening anims to play then running). Never spent longer than a half-hour looking a one-percenter that way.
Work smarter, not fucking harder child.

You’re prolly a retard who’s looking in the wrong place. I have been playing since Red on the GBC and always catch the rarest mons for my first playthroughs since Crystal and I’ve always got what I wanted in 1 hour and half at most.
