What is your opinion on the Alola Dex and was it better/worser than the Galar Dex?

pretty good overall. They did a good job at making each pokemon memorable except for komala which is just a boring piece of shit they only put in just so they could finally say they made a koala pokemon.

I think it’s my favorite dex, although maybe too many single-stage mons and sub-legendaries. Also has my least favorite box legends. But love how well the roster compliments the tropical Alola and regional variants were a brilliant addition.

Forgot to mention that I think it’s marginally better than the Galar roster. Both are strong imo, but too many designs from Galar are cartoonish or gimmicky (Polteageist, G-Weezing, Stonjourner, etc.).

Better than Galar for sure. Questionable art, some slightly weird looking colors (like everything is skewed incorrectly), but there's some good designs here.

I was suprised at how actually decent the alola dex ended up being, sure there were a lot of mediocre, forgettable mons, but the ones thats tood out, really fucking did (Golisopod , Salazzle, Rowlet and Litten), The only one I hate from the alola dex is that fucking fish with nigger lips

Alola is much better than Kalos and Galar, but I prefer the Kalos dex over the alola dex. But Galar has the worst pokemon in the franchise. Alola also has some bad ones, but they aren't as bad as the galarian ones and as a whole the alola dex is much better, even Solgaleo and Lunala are better than Zacian and Zamazenta.

In my opinion, design wise the Alola dex is pretty good but stats wise he’ll no. Many Pokémon in the Alola dex were made too slow for no reason.

Also yes the Alola dex (hell even the Kalos dex) is way better than Galar mainly because the Galar mons feel way too plastic like in terms of their aesthetics. Sure there are some Galar mons I like such as the new ghost types baring spectrier (spectrier suffers hard with the issue with the plasticy aesthetics and Gmax gengar (it’s literally just a shitty rehash of its mega with nothing to really set it apart), Falinks, Hatterenne (which the plastic aesthetics works it its favour), Grimsnarl and Dragapult but those are a very small handful that are good and even they suffer this issue as well.

Better. Galar in general was a step down from Alola in terms of characters, Dex, and overall gameplay

It's all just preference, but excluding Ultra Beasts, I generally prefer Galar over Alola.

Not really sure why, it doesn't didn't appeal to me as much. There's never been a bad generation of regional Dex's though

It shouldn't be allowed to be this good. It's bad that it's the only normal Electric pokemon though.

Okay I'm getting tired of listing them, but in general I'm checking them all and in general they're memorable and brimming with personality. Minior, Delmise, Salazzle, Ultra Beasts in general. All amazing. Hell, they even managed to create one of the most iconic pokemons of all time (which is an oddity for new gens): Mimikyu.
