gen 5: bad. easily the worst pokeani has to offer
gen 6: not as awesome as people make it, but it's okay (if you watch dub. a new composer started to make the music and it sounds like ass)
gen 7: if you can tolerate the changed artstyle, it's one of the better seasons ...despite lillie
gen 8: well, 80% is just go doing the "gotta catch 'em all"-slogan.

Inferior to season 1 by a hair but comfiest part of the anime by far.

I liked Orange Islands because it was about exploring a completely foreign part of the world. The original anime was just going through the motions of the game while making Kanto bigger and feel more like a real world, but it was still just looking at a region I had seen through a new lens. Orange Islands was a land I had never seen before with brand new gyms, and the first regional variants.

I remember being really bummed that when I finally got Silver you couldn't go to the Orange Islands.
