Why the fuck didn't this game have all the mons as rentals?

I know they rushed them to develop, I'm not complaining, I'm just screaming it into the void

If this game had had all mons as rentals, it'd be a great buy even today

They were absorbed in the end but the guys were asking for permission to work in Pokemon (or work in general) for a while before hand

Iwata ghosted them because he was super busy funneling all efforts into as many DS and Wii releases as he could to take advantage of the numbers but when he needed them to work on PBR, the guy put a super strict time limit on PBR's release because the Wii needed a holiday game

Genius with these little touches. Booted up PBR to check, I want to throw these against each other. The Sinnoh team has better movesets overall aside from Gabite's best physical attack being Aerial Ace, but the Kanto team has four status moves and Tailwind on Pidgeot. Rhyhorn even has Protect for stalling them out.
