its pretty good
i was skeptical at first because the roster is really small and very few of my favorite mons in there, but i am liking everything else about the game so far
its very casual and fun to play
only criticism is they NEED to expand the roster by a lot, give variety for different roles and across all gens

They hardcap the match currency. You can get tons of currency from other sources as well.

What bullshit are you making up? Held items? You can only hold 3 of them and the level cap is 20. You'll have a full set of maxxed items in like a week of playing, and you can max the other decent ones over time and eventually you'll have them all, even the shit ones, maxed.

That's actually the best part about it. We have time to learn these 20, because lord knows they'll constantly add more over and over for years. The roster will be past 100 before you fucking know it. Starting with 20 is managable, you can learn 20 possible characters builds and move options reasonably quick. If they started with like 50 characters we'd all be fucked trying to learn shit on the fly.

It's not an NPC yet is it? Highly likely they eventually do split evolutions as a gimmick where they evolve based on which move you pick of the 2, so Cloyster has a shot as one of those.

I think that means it's actually not going to be playable rather than playable. All the NPCs have one Pokemon associated with them, I don't think they'll be available to the player.

I'm surprised how many Pokemon that'd be perfect for player characters are already out because of NPCs and ingame enemies. No Sableye, no Ludicolo. Sad!
