Came across something very interesting, I watched this video in which the guy is basically mind blown CGC didn't grade some cards a 10:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDVoSi7f510I included a comment from the video in pic.
Basically, I think my perception of the grading companies was twisted. I thought CGC was essentially the "off brand" grading company, and less legit. But in reality PSA seems to be softer and will give 10s to not so perfect cards.
CGC seems to have the better idea that a 10 will only be given to essentially a PERFECT card.
And another guy made a good point, that PSA only grades up until "Gem Mint". Wheras Beckett and CGC consider Gem Mint to be a 9.5. The 10 is reserved for PRISTINE, a literal perfect card, which makes much more sense.
Basically, I thought PSA was more legit than CGC but my opinion might have shifted. It makes so much more sense for a 10 to be an extremely rare thing and only reserved for the absolute best. If something is close to perfect, that is what the 9's or 9.5's are for.
